Geminid meteor shower peak begins tonight

Post by Betsy Voinovich »

The shower starts after midnight and will be at its peak -- around 120 an hour!--around 2 AM I just read. The article advised that you watch for fifteen minutes so your eyes get adjusted. The lower the moon is, the easier it is to see them. They also advise blocking the moon with a building or tree, so you can see more clearly.

If you miss it tonight it continues through early hours of Sat am.

Dress warm. Bring hot chocolate. Wake up the kids! (Not in that order.)
