Tonight, (Friday Aug 9) at Kauffman Park

Warm up event:
6:30pm - Kickball - City of Lakewood Employees vs. Lakewood City School Employees

Headliner:
8:30pm - Softball - Lakewood Police Department vs. Lakewood Fire Department

Helps raise money for Lakewood Recreation Scholarship Fund!

Food trucks to be on site to provide refreshments!

Sounds like FUN!!!

Don has been instrumental in creating this event and advocating its cause. He is home due to health issues and will likely be unable to attend tonight's events or the weekend tournaments.

Law Director Kevin Butler played a decent left field ... and was heard repeatedly bragging throughout the evening about being named "Best Athlete" in his 2nd Grade Class! I would have honored him with the "Best Smile" award. Thanks for the kind words, Kevin! (now my wife believes I really am a good guy! And she thoroughly enjoyed meeting you.)
