Tonight the Lakewood Democratic Club has decided to give their official backing to
current Councilman-At-Large Ryan Nowlin, Sam O'Leary, and Cindy Marx.

Earlier in the evening current Councilwoman-At-Large Monique Smith decided not to seek
re-election. Some of the many good reasons given for not running centered around her
family and having two children under the age of 3.

Monique, thanks for you service, time and effort. Enjoy...

At the Beck Center recently State Representative Nickie Antonio, and Councilwoman-At-Large
Monique Smith.

This leaves HARD CORE DEMOCRAT Ward 2 Councilman Thomas Bullock not getting the
official support of the Dem Club. This should free Tom up to run his campaign his way, and
you have to admit in his years here on council, even while running for office he has always
been a champion to the people of Lakewood.

It is also refreshing seeing them back actual Democrats.

Not to go without mention, more than one has commented that it was Director of Planning
Dru Siley's third meeting in a row. Would Mr. Siley be willing to take the pay cut to get
an office on the second floor?

Ahhhhhhh it's only been weeks since the last election and it is already back in the Lakewood Air.
