Well here we are about halfway through the year, how are those New Year's Eve Resolutions working out for you?
As we move into summer and full tilt into the second half of the year, Lakewood comes into its own with block parties, festivals, walks and crawls galore. Lakewood, the best place to live of the North Coast, blossoms like the flowers in so many yards and gardens throughout this city.
Go out, walk the streets, sit on the porch with friends and neighbors, enjoy our parks, and tell your friends: "Lakewood is where it is all happening."
Mahatma Ghandi said, "We must be the change we wish to see in the world." And we must be the change we hope to see here in Lakewood. It is up to every one one of us to do what we can to keep the city moving forward and to attract the people and the businesses we want to see in this city.
In the end, Lakewood is a mirror of the whole community. Take what you like about this city and amplify it through words and actions. Do not just reside here, LIVE here.
As we start our tenth year in print, it has truly been my pleasure to be a part of this city and this project.
