Lakewood Schools - $28,000 Per Year For Health Insurance?

The current annual premium for health, dental, vision and prescription coverage is about $18,000 per year for the family plan. The plan offers:

$10 co-pays and no deductibles.

If the conservative estimates of 12% annual rate increases is accurate the cost of that coverage will increase to nearly $28,000 per year in only four years.

Employees currently pay 15% of the premium.

Part time employees pay about 57% of the premium.
