3rd Annual Fitness Fits Everyone! in photos

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

This past Sunday Kara and Corey Rossen staged their 3rd Annual Fitness Fits Everyone! And
it was a nice change from the way it had been laid out in the past and I give them credit for
trying to incorporate the entire park, so that even parents that just came to watch the kids
ended up with a nice walk around the crown jewel of Lakewood Parks.

Kudos to the Fitness Fits Everyone event!!

I can't thank Cory and Kara enough for helping raise awareness to the importance of getting kids moving.

I encourage everyone to take 1 minute and 48 seconds and view the video '5 Extra Years' on designedtomove.org.

"For the first time in history this generation is expected to die 5 years younger than their parents. Let's give them those 5 years back....'

"Just a few generations ago, physical activity was an integral part of daily life. In the name of progress, we've now chipped away at it so thoroughly that physical inactivity actually seems normal. The economic costs are unacceptable; the human costs are unforgivable.

The impact of this widespread physical inactivity epidemic affects everyone in every nation. To put solutions into practice at scale, changemakers must align on what needs to be done and how. That is the purpose of Designed To Move."
