2003 Lakewood High School Graduate Michelle Sikes stopped by the Lakewood High School Cross Country practice Monday, Sept. 10 at Lakewood Park.
Michelle is one of the most incredible young women I have ever met. Her beautiful warm personality, gentle and humble spirit and passion for what she does are remarkable.

Captain of the women's Track and Cross Country teams at Wake Forest University.

2007 Wake Forest Graduate
2007 USA World Championship Team 5000 meters (15:09.28) in Osaka, Japan
2008 USA Olympic Trials Qualifier 5000 meters
Michelle currently lives in Oxford, England where she is a doctoral candidate in Economic and Social History at the University of Oxford.
The title of her thesis is 'Understanding Gender Relations and Economic Growth through the Prism of Women's Running in Kenya'.
