Does anyone know what is going on with Lakewood Rec with the two top people stepping down? Who is going to run the rec this summer?

Is this another position Jim O'Bryan could step into? He is Mr. Lakewood (Rec?).

I read about the head of the Rec and HR being filled with an experienced appointee. I am one parent who is incredibly grateful that Leslie Favre is still a part of our Recreation Dept. in this changing environment. She has been the one person there who has always responded to any inquiries, complaints, requests, etc. I cannot say that about our past two exiting employees. She has shown up at games to check things out, supported teams, and answered every single phone call. For me, she has went above and beyond to help out a situation without knowing me. I love that she has grown up in Lakewood and sports and has chosen to use her skills here. We need that and deserve a person like that for our children. For me, the Recreation Department is a big part of my children's childhood that matters every bit as much as the school year. I want them to have good experiences year round. I think she is the most open person there to listen to ideas and incorporate changes that are badly needed in certain areas as well. I hope every parent that has had a positive experience with her writes letters in support. We are often quick to write to complain but slower to write to acknowledge. :D
