What Are We Doing...?"

Having Fun I Hope!

I hope we are all enjoying what we can out of life, and living in or working in Lakewood.

This week the Scene Magazine named Lakewood "Best Suburb" for the 3rd straight year. I
guess they realize, just how easy it is to relax, live and enjoy Lakewood. Something many
of us, including myself forgets now and then.

At the last "State of the City" address this past week, Mayor Summers spoke of the tough times
ahead, and the belt tightening we made need to cut back here and there. It might test our
resolve and our love for this city. Tough news, but we have heard tougher. Nate Kelly a
week earlier had spoken of "millions" possibly available to Lakewood this year for approved
Economic Development, out of a record $100 million the county will throw throw to businesses this year.

Perhaps, we have a second to relax...

“Of all the delectable islands the Neverland is the snuggest and most compact, not large and sprawly, you know,
with tedious distances between one adventure and another, but nicely crammed. When you play at it by day with the
chairs and table-cloth, it is not in the least alarming, but in the two minutes before you go to sleep it becomes very nearly
real. That is why there are night-lights. ” - J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Isn't it time, you shared your images with other Lakewoodites, while we define who we are
in words and images, and amplify what is Lakewood beyond our borders?
