Its worth watching the entire hour. Some time ago, I built my own Milton Friedman DVD set using the videos out there on the Internet. I have now 10-volume of the 1980 Free to Choose, the 5-volume 1990 follow-up, that interview in its entirely and I think some other random lecture clips.

I only caught Milton's Hong Kong infomercial. Hong Kong was an international port long before the outcome of China's civil war. It is not a model for America. America is a model for America. Here is American history: the most egalitarian redistributing of half a continent the world has ever seen(minus the big plantation confederate states), lax attention to nominal gold standards, protectionism, the New Deal, and the rest of the modern world blowing itself up in two world wars.
