Since I have no issue criticizing Mike Summers as our mayor, I also want to applaud him when appropriate. This is non-binding, but nice to see our mayor approving this resolution:

This is a huge pet peeve of mine that somehow the "sanctity" of marriage will be undermined if people that love each other, and want to be committed to each other, wish to be married. That is asinine.

Good Job out of the mayor.
A 30 year old acquaintance is working on his second divorce in 8 years. What that tells me is that we don't need the gay community to screw up marriage. Us straight folk do that pretty well on our own!
