School Community meetings

Post by Edward Favre »

The Lakewood City School District is holding a series of important Community Engagement Meetings this month and running through February. The Schools want to hear what you have to say as the district faces upcoming cuts in order to balance its budget. Superintendent Jeff Patterson will also share his vision of how to maintain a top-performing, high quality district in these challenging financial times. The meetings are approximately 90 minutes and will all be the same format/presentation so you only need attend one. Information from the meetings will be compiled and Superintendent Patterson will report back to the community at a special meeting at the high school on March 8. Meetings all begin at 7 p.m. Dates/places are as follows:

Jan. 18: Hayes Cafeteria
Jan. 24: Grant Gym
Feb. 2: Horace Mann Cafeteria (child care available, call 529-4074 to reserve space)
Feb. 8: Roosevelt Gym
Feb. 15: Lincoln Large Gym
Feb. 23: Emerson Cafeteria
Feb. 29: Harrison Cafeteria (child care available, call 529-4074 to reserve space)
March 8: LHS East Cafeteria, Report Back to Community

We hope to see you at one of the above. Strong schools build strong communities!
