Aw Shucks, Jim.

The Water Moose was the most fun I've had in a while. Thanks to Shannon Strachan at Lakewood Alive, Mike Summers' office, Kurt Matej of the Dept. of Parks and Public Properties, and Nick Delvecchio in the water department for their help. Thanks to my sister Christina and her sons, and my kids for helping set up. Thanks to Lakewood Hardware for moral and material support.

And thanks to Dan Morgan for shooting this beautiful video that shows what this was really all about.

Michael

Seriously, that was the best thing at Street Walk since those guys that pulled the HumVee.

I just upload my first batch of photos from this year's Street Walk.

Thanks for the gorgeous photos, Jim. Teriffic scenes. And that little blast from the past--pulling the Humvee at Walk and Roll . . . Bobby Breitenstein showed me that idea, written like a doodle in the back of a well-worn journal. Another great and goofy time.

Clifton Club's Water Snake, Not So Much...

I have heard that the Clifton Club has had to impose new restrictions on beach guests to reduce overcrowding.

Was this dysfunctional sprinkler set up to pacify those stripped of their guest access?

I called the club to report the problem (and my concern for water waste) but the next day it continued to spew.
