This song by The Sundays was playing the whole time so I'll include it so you can accompany us on our voyage in case you feel like seeing the sun go down.
We headed west out of Lakewood, following small glimpses of the sun over the lake from the bridge across the river. Finally, we thought we had it in the parking lot of Einsteins, but after trying to position the car to take a picture, it was gone! Back west onto Detroit, a quick U-turn and we spotted it across the street from Sweet Melissa's.

We quickly pulled over on Detroit and jumped out of the car-- Too low! I considered holding up the baby and giving her the camera (the baby is five), but instead leapt to the hood of the car to get this shot. Yay! Got it. The sun! We stood there taking it in while we could.
Wondering now how long we'll have to look at this picture before it's replaced by the real thing.

One last shot, saying goodbye, letting the sun go down, getting back in the car. The song was just ending. We took the long drive back over the bridge into Lakewood.
