I nominate granting legal residency to illegals who have been here for a few years without getting into serious trouble. On the conditions the U.S. military be redeployed to guard the southern border. as opposed to guarding whatever the hell they are guarding now. it would be less expensive: not requiring much more than the same jeeps and paddy wagons used 60 years ago. only with better radios. and an across the board 10 percent tariff is instituted.

Assertions such as this are not credible on their face. Not only this, but an estimate about from which countries illegal immigrants come from can't be quantified by asking illegal immigrants at the border about where they come from.
I would presume there is a procedure for this quantification about the country of origin, and, I'd like to review the survey and statistical assumptions behind an estimate, an estimate that by definition must be an informed guess. ...if that.
