Ultimately, what action do we, the people on this thread take? How do we take what we know and bring it to bare to create change? We have this forum and we are grateful for it. These discussions should never stop. What next? This is a message that must go beyond these posts. I am anxious to read your suggestions.

For potential ethics violations, please file with the Ohio Ethics Commission here: http://www.ethics.ohio.gov/investigation/index.html While it has been alleged that Summers may have friends at the Ethics Commission, it cannot hurt to file as many reasonable complaints as possible. I believe that Brian Essi, myself, Mark Kindt, and others have discovered numerous potential ethics violations at City Hall.Kevin D Young wrote:Ultimately, what action do we, the people on this thread take? For Sunshine Law violations, please complain to the Ohio Office of Attorney General at http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/ as well as the Ohio Auditor of State: Open Government Unit at https://ohioauditor.gov/open.html
For Judges allegedly acting improperly or with conflicts of interest, please file with the Ohio Supreme Court - Board of Professional Conduct at
http://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/Boards ... fault.aspx
These are just a few places I can recall off the top of my head. The more complaints that are received, the more likely the agency may be to investigate.

In a representative government, especially like the one here in Lakewood, the answer is nearly always the same.
1) Elections
2) Community oversight of those elected.
A never ending cycle, not of mistrust, but of understanding and participation.
When it is broken, and City Hall spends more on spin than on honesty, it gets out of whack, and the scales move towards more oversight.
The last time the LO suggested it, Mayor FitzGerald put together his group to look at City Hall, and they gave great scores! This should be a hint.
Oversight, builds trust, with trust communities can survive incredibly tough times, and be ready to reap the fun in the good times.
We got here because a lack of oversight. Many were willing to let others, a small group carry the water, and lead us.
Problems were bound to happen, issues would arise, and schemes would hatch.
When you giver the Schools $125 million out of pocket, we deserve oversight.
When City Hall breaks laws, liquidates $178 million dollar asset into private hands, and spends millions to lie and cover up.
WE SHOULD ALL BE DEMANDING OVERSIGHT and ALL THE DOCUMENTS!

Agreed, but when there is no accountability and no oversight, that is when the time comes to write to some of the above-listed agencies.
