Maybe he believes that canard they were trying to sell awhile back about the FHC being a hospital.

Lower than as snake's belly---that's where you'll find Summers these days.

I call bullshit on that. Prove it.

Mr. Wadden,

Which statement did you call "b..s...t" on?

That there was a report that Summers was out canvassing and told someone a lie?

OR

That Summers is lower than a snake's belly?

I can't figure out why you are so passionately outraged so as to curse at either of these statements given the cumulative evidence of Summers' character and reputation.
So many things to address. First. Brian, you need to calm down. you just made up a lie about Mayor Summers telling someone that 64 saves a hospital. That's a lie. Not surprised since we are days away from the election. It show desperation on your part. He never said that. If he did, then please provide names and verified proof that it happened. I assuming you can't so I won't hold my breath.

Secondly, your constant effort to re frame this discussion to something that paints me as a person who is "passionately outraged" is a joke. I am not passionately outraged by any of this discussion. In fact, I think we would all benefit if you would step off your sanctimonious platform which affects the tone of the deck.

Btw, I attended the "Night at the Races" tonight at LCA and I met quite few people who know you. Lol; they filled me in about your frequent over indulgence in fun.

His story is true. As we've pointed out with the fake newspaper, this behavior is consistent with "Team Summers" past performance.

" I submit that Summers assuring one or more persons that he means to save the hospital is not so outlandish that it warrants profanity.".

Matt, I don't think of the word "bullsh!t" as profanity. Technically, I suppose it is. My apologies.

BTW, thanks for posting here on the deck. You bring a tone and tenor that comes across as fair and reasonable. Unlike the seasoned snark and arrogance that longtime upper deckers such as Mike and Bridget bring.

Thanks,

Patrick Wadden

Mr. Wadden,

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"

Here is just some of what's happened in the past few days:

1. Bullock stroking the LGBT card after 12 months of ignoring the community,
2. Summers canvassing and caught in yet another lie,
3. Jay Foran whining and backing down on my Bad Government FB site because he has no facts,
4. You claiming, without any evidence that what I and others heard from a canvassing reports is somehow a "lie",
5. You claiming some unnamed people say I have too much fun (i.e. shoot the messenger as a "crazy"); and
6. Butler all the while claiming the vote of the people doesn't matter (if so why is Summers so desperate that he needs to canvass at all?)

So your side is in a discombobulated panic, and you accuse me of being "so desperate" that I somehow "make up" a lie about a pathological liar that is entirely in keeping with his prior behavior and reputation?

Priceless!

I love the sound of Shakespeare on a Sunday morning.

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"

From wikipedia

The line, like most of Shakespeare's works, is in iambic pentameter. It is found in Act III, Scene II of Hamlet, where it is spoken by Queen Gertrude, Hamlet's mother.[citation needed] Hamlet believes that his father, the king, was murdered by his uncle Claudius (who then married Gertrude). Hamlet decides to stage a play, the Murder of Gonzago, that matches Hamlet's theory in its basic storyline, in order to test whether viewing it will trigger a guilty conscience on the part of Claudius. As Hamlet, Gertrude, Claudius and others watch the play-within-the-play, the Player Queen, representing Gertrude, declares in flowery language that she will never remarry if her husband dies. Hamlet then turns to his mother and asks her, "Madam, how like you this play?", to which she replies "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Gertrude (who may or may not be aware that the queen in the play is a stand-in for her) is saying that the Player Queen is being too effusive. Hamlet replies, "O, but she'll keep her word."

Does anyone know if Summers was actually canvassing or was Kevin Butler waiting in a car at the end of the street for him? Can anyone confirm whether he appeared to be walking or stumbling? I thought maybe he had double vision after allegedly working on the allegedly questionable voting activity.

I can confirm that Summers was in fact walking alone, down Andrews, when I saw him yesterday. He seemed to be leaving a postcard at every house w/o AGAINST 64 signs. Canvassing? He did not seem to be knocking on doors. He probably just ran into people by accident, inadvertently, as we sometimes do while dropping lit. Needless to say, he passed right by my house w/o stopping.

It's not wrong for the mayor to take an active and humble role in trying to get his deal through. I actually respect that a great deal.

I meant to add something to this discussion, or rather to extend a detour that it took… instead I posted it into another thread, whoops. http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/posti ... 7&p=172705

(If anyone wants to correct my error and move that, go ahead.)
