Canvassing Report: Summers Tells Resident That Vote For 64 Will Save Hospital
It has been reported that Summers has been out canvassing and told a resident that if they vote For 64, it will save the hospital.

Lower than a snake's belly, indeed. Even the gates of Hades are higher than Summers, I believe.
Public records show evidence of Michael P. Summers and/or members of his company illegally registering individuals (sometimes their family members) to vote or registering them at addresses that they have never lived at or have not lived at in years. According to rumor and public record,a few of Summers or Co.'s family members that have not lived in the country (not county, country) for years are being requested absentee ballots, interestingly on the exact same day.
Also according to public records, a retired city employee's husband has been voting for years. He has been deceased for years and has been voting all along.
As these discrepancies are discovered, they are being reported to the proper entities. This is all I will say to avoid Summers & Co.'s spokespeople screaming.

Is it legal for a Mayor to lie to a citizen in his community trying to influence the vote to help his own cause? He does not seem to have any morals. Seems like he has lied about so much he cannot stop.

If you see this man coming to your door, do not answer. He probably is looking to either:
A. Fabricate a violation about your house in order to gain leverage to allegedly steal it
B. Feed you lies
C. Both

Re: Canvassing Report: Summers Tells Resident That Vote For 64 Will Save Hospital
Realistically, no one is going to prove inarguably that Mayor Summers said anything without video evidence. Anything else will—barring unlikely corroboration by Summers himself—presumably turn into one person's word against another, perhaps accompanied by suggestions that "so-and-so misunderstood me," etc.
For what it's worth, however, I'm going to propose that this report is plausible, given past statements by Summers.
During last fall's mayoral campaign, long after Summers participated in and advocated for a deal to close Lakewood Hospital, he promoted his "leadership responding to the threat against Lakewood Hospital’s viability." http://votemikesummers.com/
In a Sept. 2015 issue of the Observer, he represented himself as a dedicated admirer of Lakewood Hospital and said that it "must prepare for its second century of healthcare." http://lakewoodobserver.com/read/2015/0 ... o-lakewood
Within two months, he signed a deal to close the hospital.
None of this is evidence of any specific statement by Mike Summers in November 2016. But, in the larger context of city officials' consistent reluctance to fight any public election on a platform of "no hospital in Lakewood," I submit that Summers assuring one or more persons that he means to save the hospital is not so outlandish that it warrants profanity.

I was out canvassing today as well.Patrick Wadden wrote:I call bullshit on that. Prove it.
I know the woman in question....she is of impeccable character.
She stopped at the person's home after the mayor left, and that is exactly what the person said.
If you need proof, look no further than "The Lakewood Neighborhood News".....its headline did the exact same thing last year!

Misleading headline brought to you by our former mayor and current law director and financed by ad buys from Summers for Mayor or whatever his campaign was called.Michael Deneen wrote:I was out canvassing today as well.Patrick Wadden wrote:I call bullshit on that. Prove it.

Of course, oddly enough, that particular headline has turned out to be more premature than inaccurate.
I think we can put that down to a mischievous fate, though.

His administration and those that orbit around it are bound together by the twisted principle that deception has it's own momentum.
It keeps them spinning. Moving forward. Never worried about the cost or the damage done. Just the results.
Stop Summers. Stop this sick, divisive administration.
Vote against 64.

A very Rossen-like response. A response without content or any self- reflection. A blown opportunity for you, sir.Patrick Wadden wrote:

Mr. Wadden,
Which statement did you call "b..s...t" on?
That there was a report that Summers was out canvassing and told someone a lie?
OR
That Summers is lower than a snake's belly?
I can't figure out why you are so passionately outraged so as to curse at either of these statements given the cumulative evidence of Summers' character and reputation.
