Great day for Lakewood!

I can see that Palin brought out the entire Republican base from CLE+, not to mention all those Obama supporters in the distance.

She's a unifying force!

BTW, the photo is great. You can almost see Russia. Is that Putin's head?

.
I didn't see one mean thing in this post. The truth is Palin actually said she could see Russia from her backyard and that made her qualified to deal with foreign affairs. Not many showed for her appearance and only a small group thought her appearance was good for Lakewood. What was ugly and mean was her campaign against Obama, trying to get people to think he was a terrorist and the Republicans' emails that went around claiming he was a Muslim and then quoting all terrorist attacks that were allegedly done by Muslims (extremists).

My physician here in Lakewood is from Egypt. He has been in this country for thirty years and is the kindest, gentlest man I have ever met. He told me what it felt like to have all Muslims trashed and why he voted for Obama, even though he will pay more taxes and even though all his colleagues did not agree. He talked about how Muslims pay taxes and aren't the ugly evil people some make them out to be. And I felt sad that the election came down to all those ugly claims.

But the people spoke and saw through it. Instead of blind sheep being led to slaughter and believing everything they hear from politicians, they read between the lines, got more educated than ever on the issues and had their voice heard.

Now the hate comes out again from the Republican side, but this time it is against Palin. But I don't hear many people questioning that. They used her for their needs and when it didn't work out they turned on her. All Steve said was she could see Russia which came from her. It was funny.
