Subject: C.O.W. Meeting

Issued 10/6/15
NOTICE
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

The Committee of the Whole will meet Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 5:30 PM. in the Mayor’s Conference Room (2nd floor) of Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. The agenda is as follows:

General conversation about the Letter of Intent submitted to Council by the Lakewood Hospital Association (LHA), the Lakewood Hospital Foundation (LHF), and Cleveland Clinic (referred 1/20/15), including the potential purchase of property; the sale of real or personal property by competitive bid if disclosure of the information would result in a competitive advantage to the person whose personal, private interest is adverse to the general public interest; and/or pending litigation. A motion to enter executive session for the majority of this discussion will likely be made.

Ms. Madigan is clearly a disgrace but I think it's time to comment on Mr. Anderson, Mr. O'Leary and Ms. Marx, who when presented with an opportunity to change the political culture of Lakewood shrank from the moment.

Mark,
I couldn't agree with you more. I have been noticing this all along. Any council member may object to an executive session, however, I believe majority rules. At least if any of them objected, it would be in the records. I have never heard any of them object. BTW, Cindy Marx has a Summers sign in her front yard.

Well Cindy Marx may have a Summers sign, but I have been amazed at the people with Skindell signs - not just the sheer number, but the fact that some of them are people I really would not have expected to have one since they had supported Summers in the past.

There are lots of people abandoning this mayor.

Speaking of supportive signs in front yards...where can I get a "Brake for Kids" sign?

The "Brake for Kids" campaign ended on October 1.
It annually runs through the month of September.
The schools have asked people to store their signs for re-use next year.

You should contact Lakewood City Schools next fall to find out how to get one.

While Mr. Deneen and Mr. Rossen work out the particulars of the "Brake for Kids " signs; I will repeat that Ms. Madigan is a disgrace and that Mr. O'Leary, Mr. Anderson and Ms. Marx when presented with the opportunity to change the political culture of Lakewood proved to be too small for the moment.

Mr. Buckley, In your quest for supporting proper causes in the community, please consider braking for kids while driving. Thank you.

Just wanted to be clear that "Brake -4-Kids" signs and the speed awareness initiative is sponsored by Lakewood Early Childhood PTA and not the Lakewood City Schools. They are the only signs permitted to be placed on the tree lawn through the month of September. You can always have them on your lawn. You can contact LECPTA or email the Lakewood Council of PTAs, lakewoodcouncil@gmail.com to get a sign. Yes, keep it-- they're expensive to print each year.

Thread drift? What thread drift?

So, what do you think about Manziel not starting at quarterback this week for the Cleveland Browns?
