Scenic Park Neighborhood Party

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Saturday I had the pleasure of being invited over to the Scenic Park Neighborhood Party. I often walk the dog over on Graber as it has such great views of the Emerald Canyon, so it was a nice treat to be invited over.

Most people think of anything West of Riverside as the "West End" NO, that is not true. The "WestEnd" is one of the classic old Lakewood corner bars with good food. The "West End" was a strip mall designed to make what some perceived as less advantaged people out of Lakewood.

But to the friends and neighbors of this highly prized piec of property it is referred to as "Scenic Park." And it should be as it offers some of the most spectacular views of the Emerald Canyon and Metro Parks.

Food on many tables, this one was salads and condiments.

The Deck's Missy Limkeman was there with All Dog's Heaven.

Music all day.

Fun for all ages.

Wait I know this kid!

Aren't you one of David Anderson's kids?

Yeah, what about it, Mr. O'Bryan?

Sure enough, Ward 1 Councilman David Anderson sits down with residents.

His dad, the much respected Ward 1 Councilman continues to draw a crowd.

A great afternoon was had by all.

Thanks for the invite Shawn.

Missy is holding Sophie, a sweet girl who was rescued with her puppies from a hoarding situation. We adopted one of her puppies, and he is such a joy! Please, someone consider giving this wonderful mama a loving home . . . . .
