After chasing a deer through the area of Belle and Lake Road I was stopping by Pier W for lunch and spotted this sign.

The Cleveland Clinic. It is one of many parcels the Jacobs left the Clinic.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe they could build a Family Health Center there? Or maybe sweeten the current deal?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"Sweeten the deal"

Is that parcel large enough for another high rise? That would certainly add tax dollars to the city. Lakefront property is scarce.

Anyone notice that the Cleveland Clinic facility at 11851 Detroit is for sale?

I wonder what's up with that. That would be kind of fun to be the Clinic's landlord. Oh yeah, I forgot, the City of Lakewood already is and that did not work out so well.

The building is overpriced because its about to lose its only tenant.

Mayor Summers plan for health care in Lakewood requires the closing of that building, the Clinic building on Madison the demolition of the family health center across from the hospital and the demolition of the 88,000 square foot medical office building on Detroit and Belle AND granting the Clinic a monopoly in health care in Lakewood.

If someone understands the logic of that position please post the explanation.
