When 60 Minutes Exposed The Mayor's Faulty Thinking ...

Post by marklingm »

Many of the leaders and members on Team Summers and Build Lakewood attempted to destroy our wonderful city for their "fabulous" dreams of "economic development opportunities."

Remember when a former Lakewood mayor attempted to take on 60 Minutes and was proven a fool?

If not, flashback to ...

Now jump forward to 2015 ...

The Team Summers and Build Lakewood playbook is the same today.

And I would love to see 60 Minutes or, even better, Brian Essi interview Mayor Michael P. Summers and anyone from Team Summers and Build Lakewood today.

Hence, Rob Masek's spot on cartoon!

Image

Are the rumors true? Are they coming back to Lakewood?

I know that the producer at 60 minutes, asked for permission to use the cartoon.

Hmmmmmmmm

Does History Repeat Itself?

I know the hospital bad deal is being sold to Lakeewoodites like the WestEnd. "If this
doesn't happen it will be the end of Lakewood as we know it." Well ending that allowed
Tom George and his planning director Tom Jordan to lay the groundwork for most of the
growth you have seen. Ending the WestEnd actually watered the fields for the Golden Days
of Lakewood which have followed.

The new blight? "Health Care is changing!

Look for our coming story on how professional thoughts on active living and exercise are rapidly changing maybe faster than healthcare.

60 Minutes was powerful, but only in proving to those outside our City what we already knew
inside this City. While it is important that everyone understands what is going on, what is more
important is that the RESIDENTS know what is going on. It was the people of Lakewood, that
woke up and took control of a City Hall that has lost their way.

To that extent, here are the videos of Lakewood Legendary Entertainer and Videographer.

It is really worth the watch, a look back with humor...

Lakewood Bogus Blight Volume 1

Lakewood Bogus Blight Volume 2

Lakewood Bogus Blight Volume 3

Lakewood Bogus Blight Volume 4

Lakewood Bogus Blight Volume 5

Who is Sam Phillips, Sam is a local musician, and entertainer that between playing and traveling
has turned his video cameras onto Lakewood, and the various scenes around Cleveland.

To be fair, Mayor Cain did an outstanding job dealing with the Cleveland Clinic.

They tried to break their agreements way back during her day, but she threatened to sue and they backed down.

Mike

I agree, this Hospital Fiasco could help her right her history in this town.

She did the best deal for Lakewood at the time.

Not what was best for her personal friends.

She understood that dealing with the Clinic is like being in the lion's cage...she kept the whip and chair handy.

Summers dipped us in bacon grease and placed our city's head in the lion's mouth.

Agreed, Mike!

Mayor Cain would take on any challengers in the political boxing ring ... including the Cleveland Clinic ... 60 Minutes just knocked her out cold.

Mike Summers ... not so much.

Team Summers and Build Lakewood consistently apologize for Mike Summers' cowardliness by arguing that the Cleveland Clinic simply can't be beaten by Mike Summers and Law Director Kevin Butler's legal team.

Summers and Butler are overmatched and outclassed by the Cleveland Clinic argue Team Summers and Build Lakewood.

But ... Team Summers and Build Lakewood forget that Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson was one of the biggest sporting upsets of all time.

Imagine where we would be now if Mike Summers would have simply challenged the Cleveland Clinic ... in the ring of public opinion ... Summers may have knocked the Cleveland Clinic out cold in the first round.

At least Roberto Duran stepped into the ring ... before declaring, "No Mas!”

And, for the record, I don't believe that beating the Cleveland Clinic would have been an upset at all ... and ... with new leadership ... the Cleveland Clinic can and will still be knocked out!
