That was my kids' gym though many years of elementary school and CYO basketball at SSCM. It was pretty rickety but serviceable. All things must pass I suppose....

IMMC, that is a gym that was located UPSTAIRS.
I always found that fascinating....I always wondered what is what like to be on the floor below.

I think many of us played basketball (or floor hockey or whatever) -- or awkwardly asked a girl to dance at a junior high record hop -- in a church hall somewhere.

Wonder what they did with the hoops?

Athletic club meetings were in the hall below, sometimes during practices. It was like having a circular stampede happening over your head ...

What will become of the newly opened space? (insert Dru Siley joke here)

I'd really like to know.
Noone mentioned any of this to Alex and I at the recent Birdtown Church Walk.

Mike,

Although I can't confirm this information yet, I heard that there will be a women's rehab/halfway home there.

Lori-

The rehab facility will actually be in an existing structure on the property (the former convent).
