Ranger Marching Band to Debut March-a-thon Aug. 11!

Post by Christine Gordillo »

Help support the Lakewood Ranger Marching Band at its inaugural March-a-thon on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 4-8 pm at Lakewood Park. Get a sneak peak of the halftime show and request your favorite band tune. Donations go toward short- and long-term purchasing goals for the band. Snacks and refreshments will be available, too. Time to get in the Ranger spirit!

This should be a great event!

I can't wait to hear what the kids have been working on. My son plays snare drum. It's one thing to hear him practice on a practice pad. It's another thing to hear the real instrument--and in the context of a whole drum line, and further the drum line with the entire band.

To quote the B52s, bring your jukebox money. Support their efforts to replace aging equipment, and they'll take your requests!

Travelling Down Under for business so won't be able to attend. Wish I could see my daughter in action (she plays clarinet in the marching band). These kids have worked hard and given up many summer afternoons and evenings to be ready for the start of school. Please support them as best you can!
