Build Lakewood Running From The Facts And Discussion

I have recieved more and more complaints that Build Lakewood is deleting posts, stopping
conversations and shutting those that ask questions.

Jeff Rohr - Build Lakewood, open civic discourse is the only way to get through this after
the LHA and City Hall have completely mislead residents about why the hospital is failing.
It is failing through bad management, and a failure at oversight.

The fact your group is giddy to spend any money coming out of this points more to Build
Lakewood just being another charade put out there with the help of the Administration.

PROVE ME WRONG, OPEN YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Stop running from the facts of the deal, and the questions.

Please, not another complete charade, the city can't handle that again.

I had a short discussion last night with a supporter of the Mayor.

He expressed disappointment about the ... untruth about the recreation center, the overall lack of oversight by the LHA board, the lack of concern about the $24 million in "administrative fees",the general lack of openness and I think most of all disappointment over the incompetent roll out. I think we both agreed that they were planning this for at least two years and they should have been better prepared.

Not just better prepared to deal with opposition but better prepared on their various proposals. If the Mayor wanted a rec center he should have unveiled those plans and not denied the existence of those plans. If the Clinic was going to replace the Hospital with a Family Health Center the Mayor should have had more to offer than vague promises and a statement from Clinic officials that we should "trust" them.

We talked about how a mea culpa might help the Mayor.

I related the story about Huey Long.

When a Parish official told Long that his people want to know "when that bridge was gonna be built".

Long replied, Neva."

"What am I gonna tell the voters?'

"You tellum that Huey LIED to them".

What I find fascinating is that - in spite of all the facts in front of him - this person is still a supporter of Michael P. Summers.

I was briefly blocked from their FB page a few days ago.
The moderator reinstated my posting ability, but some of my old posts seem to be gone.
Mr. Rohr has been polite in his responses, although he is stuck using the same basic talking points.

Since then, a more common problem on the Build Lakewood Facebook page is that BL sympathizers will delete their comments on a thread, thereby wiping out all responses to those comments.

For example, one BL enthusiast recently claimed "There is no REC CENTER!".
Bill Call posted a direct reply, and I added a link to the "Smoking Gun 2" thread.

The BL sympathizer then quickly took down his comment, removing all evidence of the exchange. Both my and Bill's comments were "collateral damage".

Please note: I continue to be blocked on Twitter by both "Build Lakewood" and "Lakewood Citizen". (I can still post on the Citizen FB page, though).

I have NEVER tweeted at BL...I was blocked almost immediately at its inception. Why?

As for Lakewood Citizen, it used to tweet links to all my Observer stories.
Now suddenly I am blocked! Why?

How did I so quickly go from "Retweet Worthy" to "Blocked"? Why did this happen?
I have never tweeted at the Citizen about the hospital.

Because you are either "with them" or "against them." You have become the enemy by not blindly accepting everything they say and do.

Same tactics as during the West End- scorch and burn. People broke long term friendship bonds over it.

The Observer engages in discourse. Build Lakewood, it would appear, engages in censorship. Mr. Siley this has your stench all over it.

Build Lakewood is built on lies.

They lie about the definition of a "hospital".

They lie that it is City Council's failure to act that is causing the losses at the hospital---it is actually LHA, CCF and Summers' failure to act that is the cause of the losses.

The intentional losses are reversible, but Build Lakewood refused my written request to ask that the losses be stopped--Build Lakewood now has the blood on hospital victims n their hands.

Build Lakewood is a fraud---it is self evident that the writers of the website falsehoods know little or nothing about medicine or healthcare---there will be less services with less value provided at the propose "new hospital"---that is the whole point of closing the hospital---so CCF can take the business to Fairview and other places---DUH! There is nothing "new" or "state of the art" about the "specialty referral center" proposed by CCF--it is designed to REFER SERVICES AWAY FROM LAKEWOOD. DUH! The list of services is feeble--not robust. IDIOTS!

It will change healthcare in Lakewood for the worse, but don't worry--- it will never happen.

The misguided followers are like the LHA trustee/sheep--they lack true leadership and follow blindly. They are not "BIG DREAMERS," they are lowly followers. That won't work for Build Lakewood anymore than it is working for rank and file LHA trustees--they are in a dime store bubble that will soon pop of its own frailty--it was sold to them as a spaceship to a future world.

They can't engage with us on here the Deck--they have no facts--they lack intellect---they have nothing to say or add of any value. Jim Kenny is a nice guy, but he retreated from these pages when asked to unite in a cause to bring about true change. Colonel Markling is right "They can't handle the truth."

They are too busy "conveniently" planning what to do with the stolen booty.

The crew that helped to decide we did not need, 1,100 good jobs, and a hospital, now
clamor for what falls out of the publicly owned pinata. So greedy for the cheap candies
and pennies that fall, they care not who they step on to get them, or what they say.

It is amazing to me, so many people signed on, to a group with no clear goal, but to
spend the money and develop the land stolen from us.

Bridget, this is going to be far worse than the WestEnd, there they were fighting for
Cheesecake 5 minutes closer, screw 1,500 residents! Here there is up to $32 million
at stake, and 6.2 acres in DowntowN Lakewood to develop.

Way finding? Hmmmmmmmmmmm the schemers, have been at it for a long, long time.
