Man Jumps In Water Disappears

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Last night at around 10:15 it was reported a man jumped into the Lake from the break
wall and never surfaced. Lakewood Fire Department and Police were called, as were
the Coast Guard.

Those were Coast Guard helicopters keeping residents awake and texting last night.

As of this morning, no one has been found.

Stay tuned.

So I'm gonna put my big boy pants on again and go against the grain....

The helicopters have been flying back and forth for hours. Back and forth, back and forth....

The guy is either (1) dead and may or may not wash up and be discovered, or (2) alive. But helicopters at 1000 feet are not gonna find him, at least not alive. Why are we spending tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars trying? It just seems like showtime to me. I live near the lake and have heard the rumble for hours.

The guy didn't exactly get hauled into the lake. He had to climb over rocks and jump in.

Sorry to be so obtuse. Just wanting to keep it real. As i write another helicopter passes, without hope of finding him alive. It would be nice if they could but they can't. Maybe the money could be expended instead on prevention of whatever drove him to jump in and die....

Isn't this the second man to disappear into the lake this month? What the heck! :(

There's a new drug out which is a form(s) of synthetic marijuana that drives people into a zombie states and causes totally aberrant behavior like jumping into a lake.
