A Team Summers/Build Lakewood/City Hall Message To Observers

Post by marklingm »

I must admit that the folks from Team Summers/Build Lakewood/City Hall never cease to amaze me.

Our friends at Team Summers/Build Lakewood/City Hall appear to be very upset over the fact that there are actually residents who simply do not agree with them and are actively exercising their rights under the First Amendment.

So, what does Team Summers/Build Lakewood/City Hall advise their minions to do?

Educate residents as to why Team Summers/Build Lakewood/City Hall has better solutions?

Nope.

Engage residents here, on the Deck, using their real names and their own words?

Nope.

According to Rick Uldricks - a member of Team Summers and Build Lakewood and a newly hired City Hall employee:

Rick Uldricks wrote:Easy solution - unfriend anyone who shares a link from the Lakewood Observer. Too many lies, name calling and negativity.

I feel like we all just jumped into an esurance® commercial ...

Petty and lame! I wish they were able to discuss this issue like grown ups...thank you Jim Kenny for doing just that. No one will be able to understand both sides if we don't talk to each other.

"Too much negativity" Mr. Uldricks? That's a laugh (!), I find the discussion here at the Observer to be a very positive step!

Yeah..."unfriending"...so high school!

Yeah far better to enter Rick's world hiding behind many fake names posting hideous stuff,
changing names at will deleting libelous posts a day after putting them out there.

That and the fact he appears to be dangerous to residents, is why this Citizen remains the
only Lakewoodite banned from here. All he has to do is sit down, and make amends.

Rick has used many, many aliases on the Buzz, with the help of the founder, he has covered
up many hideous posts and attacks. Lately a friend that connects fake names with real
people, was laughing at the number of "City Hall people" using fake names on the Buzz to
spread lies and BS.

This is one of the reasons the Observer was created, to make people accountable. This is why
those at City hall do not come on, with a few exceptions, they do not want to be held
accountable to anyone what alone the voters.

City Hall, morally bankrupt.

Jim

The format over here is refreshing and open, thanks for insisting on it. It keeps people accountable and commenting in a mature way. I also appreciate the fact that anyone can check out the threads w/o signing up, unlike over at the buzz. I would love to check their threads out but having to sign up with a fake name etc. just turns me off.

Who is the founder of the "buzz"? Do you have any idea or are they hiding behind a fake name too?

Steve FitzGerald

I was a huge supporter of the Buzz in the day, using my real name, a fool's game in a site
littered with fake names and unstable people, but was slandered constantly by people like
Rick, and had threatened Steve with a lawsuit over one member. Steve would not turn over
the list, but did revel the name, guess who? I left the Buzz for good, no sense hiding
behind a fake name, 1) they are easy to figure out. "Mr. Poggs" perfect example. 2) the
owner of the website accepts responsibility in a lawsuit for letting people hide behind
fake names to attack and slander, many times this has been upheld. Far better to use real
names, own your bias, and TRY TO BEHAVE, if there is a problem, there are many
remedies. 12 years, over 200,000 posts, only 2 posts needed to be edited or taken down.
Yet City Hall runs and hides from the residents here. Except Jenn Pae!

We do not keep personal information, or passwords. This is why if you lose one, you have
to be reissued one. Ken Warren, the board and I have always been dedicated to privacy,
honesty, no intrusions like email blasts, and dedication to people's safety. We could have
done it the easy way, and everyone said it would not work, but Lakewoodites are much
stronger and more open then they give themselves credit for.

Unfriend your friends because they read the Observer? Again, a good example of the GROUPTHINK mentality over there. I've had friends say they're afraid to put out SLH yard signs because of fear of retaliation.

It would be hysterical if it wasn't so scary that the guy telling people to unfriend their friends is the biggest creeper out there.

That is true, Jim.

It is also true that Mayor and Public Safety Director Michael P. Summers also seems to believe that his job duties include diagnosing and alleging residents to be a "credible concern for public safety near the park" and, presumably, other locations throughout the City of Lakewood.

See the thread entitled, "Kauffman hoops closed?" at http://www.lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12663.

If memory serves Mr. Siley "unfriended" Ryan Salo last winter after he posted photos of Mr. Siley's unshoveled sidewalk. I can see the campaign poster now, Team Summers/Build Lakewood - bringing 21st century Shunning to a home near you.
