Someplace along Madison Avenue seems potentially viable.
Perhaps I'm over-generalizing, but the businesses there seem a bit more open-minded.
The freshly repaved street would be a benefit.
Madison Park could serve as a staging area.
The course could run south through some residential streets to the south, with Athens perhaps being the southern boundary.

Great idea since Madison Ave does have more "evolved" owners and with new paving plus Madison Park (and there's lots of bike racing history surrounding the madisons and 6 day races back in the day)
