Build Lakewood Now I Get It!

Brian Essi posted over in our continuing search for truth with Build Lakewood's Jim Kenny.

As I am sure we all remember The Lakewood Observer broke the story, and the Mayor,
and Council President assured all of us, Not closing, 120 beds, maybe... Which have all
been proven to be untrue statements.

Anyway...

3. If Lakewood Hospital is such a failure, why should City Council and Lakewood residents accept a solution proposed by the very people whose previous plans and operational oversight resulted is such a failure?

I do not expect for Kenny to answer over here, but agree with the premise of Brians 3rd
question to Build Lakewood.

I have been to your site, videos, testimony, even comments but they are either extremely
negative and untrue about the Deck and members, or it is a testimonial from one of the
friend's of the mayor or LHA talking about how the hospital failed or is failing.

NOT ONCE DO MENTION THEY, THEIR FRIENDS, MEMBERS DROVE IT INTO THE DITCH.

It is not search for the truth it is another negative page attacking people exercising their
first amendment rights. I respect their right to say it, but do not say you are not extremely
negative, and NEVER SAY YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH!

Jim,

You have done it again--you've seen right through the SMOKE these people blow in our faces to hide the truth about their FAILURE. The truth in this case is ugly and negative--it is about failure, failure and more failure to come. They disguise it wit fluffy promises and lies of s future "utopia" in Lakewood--more failure.

The name "Build Lakewood" contains a lie. They are hell bent on DESTROYING a 100 year old institution. They are negative, negative, negative on the hospital without looking at the facts. They have no specific PUBLIC plans--example: the website contains the following statement:

"the City of Lakewood has already been contacted by a number of local and national developers interested in proposing projects for development on the land" Why did Dru Siley (part of Build Lakewood) tell this Political Action Committee this info and not our elected leaders that he keeps in the dark? More failure to be open, honest and fair.

So we are trading a viable hospital that the bad actors have hobbled to achieve their PIPE DREAMS of "Economic Development" Their track record at the hospital FAILURE and on
economic developments---lots of public money spent--largely a FAILURE.

If an investment cannot get done without stealing public hospital money to get it done, then I say it is a FAILURE from the get go!

Build Lakewood is SCAM Lakewood!!!

One of the proposals supported by Build Lakewood is to repurpose the Lakewood Hospital Foundation into some kind of new Wellness Foundation. Will the new Foundation be run by the same people who ran the old Foundation? You have to parse their words very carefully.

The millions in charity care provided by Lakewood Hospital will be unavailable in Lakewood if the hospital closes. I suspect that North Coast Health Ministries will be the primary beneficiary of the new foundation. In essence a transfer of the Clinics liability to Lakewood. The rest of the new foundation money will be just another slush fund.

Better to return it to the City under the control of council.
