Fire on St. Charles and Detroit

Fire at St. Charles Court. Everybody got out okay. The fire came from an air conditioner on top of the building. All the fire units in the city are here.

Around 11:30 am a call went out "FIRE In DOWNTOWN!..."

Fire and police hurried to St. Charles Court where people working in the building had smelled smoke.

A light bulb had caught on fire, and the flames traveled in the ceiling to other offices in the historic St. Charles Court
Building in DowntowN Lakewood.

Everyone was evacuated, and the fire was found and put out.

It ends up that the St. Charles Court fire was started by workers using torches on the roof.
