It Can Happen Anywhere

This was the scene in Bay Village 11 pm Tuesday as a car on Lake Road got hit by two bullets.

A woman and another person were taken to Fairview Hospital.

The call went out about 10:45 and the police had blocked off Huntington Beach, and were
checking cars one by one, and letting them leave. There were two ambulances at the scene
of the car which was west of Huntington Beach.

As I came back through the scene, they had dogs checking the surrounding area, and had
emptied all lots, but were stopping some cars.

This type of stuff is sickening, I only post here because so many tell me, Lakewood is getting
bad, or worse or changing. Sadly it can happen anywhere.

Places are always changing, it's a part of life. Folks should be more concerned with stagnation than the changes that happen naturally in a dynamic city like Lakewood.

For the 22 yrs I've been here, the good changes in Lakewood have far our weighed the not so good changes far as I'm concerned. Now, this hospital situation will be the most negative change I've seen in town if it is torn down.
