Lakewood Fashion events ? ? ?
As a NYFW (New York Fashion Week) shooter, I'm wondering if there has ever been a fashion event in Lakewood?
Here's some of my work from NYFW for those of you who are into fashion/beauty photography:

Any interest in this by anyone?

Alex-- Lakewood is NOT a fashionable city. We are progressive, inclusive, environmentally sensitive. But we are NOT fashionable. Our Target is pronounced with a hard G. Most people still shop at Sears for their finery.
So, friend, pick another topic for a photo blog.

Hi Alex and Stan,
Stan, I disagree. Lakewood does not have
"Fashion Week," but we are home to the Virginia
Marti College of Fashion and Design and if
you've ever had the pleasure of attending one
of their shows, you would have seen some
impressive designs.
Alex, maybe you should see what's going
on over there. I think they would be interested
in your work.
And Stan I don't shop at Target if I can
help it, because we have so many vintage
and thrift stores here. Like "Future No Future"
The Mission, Avalon and I have to say Value
World is really fun and I found a Chanel jacket
there for my mom last week.
Lakewood is not New York. It's small but it's
fascinating-- and its people are powerful, as
you've been finding out.
Here is a link to a Virginia Marti fashion show.

Thanks Betsy!
So, we have a possible designer source and if we do a casting call for models or wannabe models here in Lakewood, all we would need are MUA's (make-up artists), hair stylists and a venue?
Now, I have to reach out to the Virginia Marti College of Fashion and Design and see if an idea came become a reality?
If you don't try, you'll never succeed.

Re: Lakewood Fashion events ? ? ?
There is a very attractive tiny fashion designer boutique on the north side of Madison, at about 133.. (just east of Chesterland). Looking in her (I assume "her") window she has some really interesting, appealing, and sharp dresses (feather skirt, sequin bodice) in her shoppe. (Wish I was still a size 6.) Hard to read her painted-on sign on the front window, maybe she can update it so it's more readable. Also, on north side of Detroit, just east of Marlowe, is another designer (next to Marcello Mellino's photo gallery). There may be more.
Also on Madison, south side, across from that shoppe - is one called Curves (or something like that) that has very pretty clothing for plus-size ladies. I saw the stunning, gorgeous owner in her shoppe a couple weeks ago when she had an open house - a real looker.
Also, next to the shoppe on Madison is a Renaissance furniture gallery; the very talented and artistic owner rescues old dressers and chests and paints them in the most beautiful and amazing images - like Marilyn Monroe over the whole dresser front. Would be GREAT photography images for you!

V Chinor is Northeast Ohio's premier haute couture designer. All of Vincente's designs are original and cutting edge. He'd be an excellent participant in a fashion show. He's located at 14404 Detroit Avenue. http://vchinor.com

Have you seen Stan? Stan's idea of fashion is a pair of high tops and ripped jeans. Stan speaks only for Stan.
