I have been collecting a ton of items that have helped me understand the entire Hospital
Debacle and will start posting them, so those that care can read and understand some
of my viewpoints, which mostly deal with conflict of interest, fiduciary responsibility,
and what happens with interlocking boards.

A look at court cases and understanding in the world on non-profits and healthcare.
It covers nearly every angle except when it comes to elected officials. I will find that, but
elected officials always default to serving the public first, then the rest.
It is worth a read, and see that even missing a meeting can find you negligent in your
fiduciary responsibility. Failing to mention Conflict of Interests is a failure.

Re: Interlocking Boards, and Hospitals, And Foundations
Jim,
I have been gathering facts concerning the numerous conflicts of interest that exist at the LHA Trustee level too---I can share if and when needed. An often repeated refrain from certain Trustees in defense of their passionate plea to destroy the hospital is that they are "unpaid volunteers with nothing to gain and only have Lakewood's best interest in mind" This may be true of some, but not all. Indeed, one has already resigned due to at ethics opinion that has so far been withheld from the public.
