Caught the beautiful light of morning in Edgewater Park on my morning bike ride. They say the "magic hours" for photography are the hours bracketing sunrise and sunset.

5/10/15 Mother's Day

Thanks to my sister, this is my Mom as a little girl in her home country of Latvia . . . and my 1st Mother's day since my mom passed this Jan. as I was moving into my home in Lakewood.

Just attended one of the best scholarly presentations I've ever heard and as a retired academic, I've heard a lot. This was Lakewood Public Library and the topic was "The Bible's Cutting Room Floor" by Dr. Joel Hoffman.

I don't know how many citizens of Lakewood make use of this wonderful
resource, especially because these many varied presentations are free!

If "gnosis" (knowledge) is seeing the light, there's a lot of light to be had for free.

Some very pleasant "light" I shot at the 78th St. Studios (downstairs) and my 1st experience on the #26 bus when I was asked to show I.D. when I paid the senior fare of $1. I told the driver, "Don't I look old enough?" LOL

Meeting my neighbors is a revelation for me and for them. Lo and behold, my neighbor directly across the street from me works for CSU and can use a photographer for a project she's working on. When she found out about my past photography career in NYC and my present one here on "The Lakewood Observer", I filled her needs perfectly and I like doing the kind of work she needs to be done.

"Catching the light" is manifesting itself in many different ways, all of which are helping me to integrate myself better in my new home (Lakewood).

Now all I have to do is find out how to get a good "Stonehenge" shot down Detroit Ave. of a sunset. ;-)

Took photos of the Cleveland Marathon, with about a 1/3 of the miles running through Lakewood on Lake and Edgewater.The lead runner had a HUGE lead! With the excessive humidity, this marathon had to be hard on most runners.
