Missing tooth on N. Side of Madison b/w Marlowe/Lincoln?
Can anyone share some information on what happened to the awesome house that used to exist on the North side of Madison between Marlowe and Lincoln up until a week ago? I've heard the store next door demolished this huge old house and carriage house to create more parking but now they can't use it as parking? So we are left with another missing tooth in the urban fabric of Lakewood? I am sickened.

Jeff Broestl bought the property to add additional parking to the shop. He painstakingly had the interior taken apart with anything that could be salvaged to be reused. The house itself was not in good condition after years of neglect.

Hi Amy,
Thank you for the additional information. Sounds like everything possible was done to save this house and preserve whatever was left that was usable. I guess this is just the unfortunate result of what happens when properties are not maintained.
