First my apologies for not following the demolition, it's just been to cold.
My heart goes out to the construction workers that were out there every day.
Nice turnout for todays groundbreaking please enjoy the aerial perspective.
My family has had 4 generations go through Lincoln School so this whole project has been bitter sweet.

Re: Lincoln School Groundbreaking
Great Shots as always Craig!
I got a couple too...

Lincoln Principal Sandy Kozelka, with formaer Lincoln Principal Carl Lockhart.

Mayor Michael P. Summers shares a laugh with Ryan Salo.

Photos to take!

(from left) Superintendent Jeff Patterson, Mayor Michael Summers, Board Vice President Tom Einhouse,
Former Lincoln Principal Carl Lockhart, Board Member Linda Beebe, Lincoln Principal Sandy Kozelka,
Lincoln student Tate Calaway, Board President Emma Petrie Barcelona, Lincoln student Caleb Salo,
Lincoln student Amanda Chanter, Board Member Betsy Shaughnessy, Board Member Edward Favre,
Lincoln PTA Co-Presidents Kelly Jablonowski and Shannon Smoot.

Students are introduced.

Superintendent Jeffery Patterson introduces everyone.

Mayor Summers takes over, "Health care is changing..." lighten up, I kid, "When I think about 100 years of Lincoln School
all I can think about is 100 years of math tests..."

School Board President Emma Petrie Barcelona, gave a nice little synopsis of Lincoln's history.

School Board Vice-President Tom Einhouse receives a plaque for the school.

School Board President Emma Petrie-Barcelona gets a ceremonial shovel.

Let the shoveling begin!

Once more with feeling!

Now just the students!

Now current School Board!

Notice how Mayor Summers is the only one working in this picture. I joke with the Mayor, but Mike Summers has
been a champion of education in Lakewood. Serving on the School Board, and always active in schools and in
the building of the new schools, it was great seeing him relaxed and having fun. He earned this one.

NEXT!
