This past Saturday, "Jump Rope for the Heart" was held at Harding.

Jump Rope for Heart is part of the Lakewood City School District’s partnership with the American Heart Association to promote heart healthy lifestyles and to raise funds to for American Heart Association.

Though it seemed kind of early for some some parents (like me) at 9am on a Saturday, the place was packed with jumping 4th and 5th graders. A DJ kept the events moving, from jumping on one foot, to something called the pretzel, to holding races which we grown ups got to participate in.
Fourth grader Rory demonstrates how you can jump inside of a two person rope if you're really good.
Lincoln principal Mrs. Kozelka compares notes with a couple jumpers. The t-shirt with writing made of jump ropes was designed by a student.
Emerson principal Mr. Siftar poses with part of his gang.
It was a great way to spend the morning--- lots of fun, lots of old friends. More photos to come.
