The subject of non-vaccinated kids has been getting a lot of national press lately.
I am not a parent, but I'm curious about the situation here in town.
How widespread is "non vaccinating" here in the Wood?
Are there any local factors driving or restraining this movement?
How are the schools dealing with it?

Re: Unvaccinated Kids in Lakewood?
Well I can just give you my story. I have 4 kids. All in the Lakewood city schools. 3 of my kids are fully vaccinated and 1 is not. My middle son has a blood disorder. And when he was 5 he was hospitalized because of it. And he could not have his booster shots because of the medicine they gave him to boost his platelets. There was a case of mumps at harding last year and we were notified. So he was tested to see if any of his shots took. And none of them have. So the day after school let's out for the summer he will be having his boosters. We have talked with the hematologist and thought it was best that he had the boosters.
