Too many people take too many things too seriously in this city!

I am sure we can all agree that we want Liberty Developers to develop the best piece of
property they are capable of. Tom Kuluris seems like a good guy and Lakewoodite. While I
would prefer the homes bring in the best $$$ than pay any homeage to McKinly, I have
no doubt they will add to the current neighborhood, and for that we are thankful.

I would also call City Hall's attention to the recent Crain's Cleveland article on the "Rental
Market About To Explode!" This might be a perfect time to finally develop the Gold Coast
another block or two west.

Let's get in front of this new trend.

Isn't that area already developed? Aren't there homes there now?

It's probably too late.

Is it time to pressure Forest City about Rockport?

How about the site of the old Spitzer dealership?

How about the site of the Drug Mart and Dollar Store by Grace? Great place for apartments.

How about some tear down and rebuilds at Cook and Clifton?

How about a new Park at the site of the Hidden Gardens Youth Rehabilitation Building?

Sometimes you have to dismantle before you can build.

Bill

It is never too late to invest in Lakewood's only real industry. HOUSING!

I would say if planning cannot attract anyone to rebuild any of the dinosaurs on the gold
coast, they have failed, and are at best built mall managers. Apartments, GOLD, rental,
GOLD, two buildings 550 new units starting at $2,000 a month, lose 40 houses top. Rebuild
two more, get another 500 units at $2,000 and all of a sudden we can afford the police we
need. And the city services we need. And the mayor can starting planning instead of
reacting and plugging holes in the service dike.

Or 3 more dollars stores and help increase non-taxpayers* in DowntowN Lakewood?

The Gold Coast is the only real big success story in this city, why it is never looked
at is beyond me. Where the hell is that study? $10,000 to turn half a building into
a half a hotel, but no study on new rentals on the gold coast?
