Amy
I have never met Valerie, I don't think I have. I have met Shawn Juris's wife and she is a
delightful, intelligent, loving mother and wife. Valerie is pretty sharp, but... I am not
saying Shawn Juris isn't either. People have different ideas and ways to get there, and
often many people have the same ideas with hundreds of ways to get there. This was
exactly why this project was started. It's funny I ran into Shawn Juris at City Hall a month
ago, and said, "We agree on Windmills" and he smiled and said, "but for complete different
reasons." Which is the often is the crux of the problem.

The Juris Family enjoying Summer Meltdown.
As for the Brewery, it is going in, and I really hope it works for everyone. I spent many a
night in Tremont looking at brewery next to homes and even schools, and the world did
not end, yet. So as with every business and resident that arrives on Lakewood shores lets
embrace and hope for the best.
But... Honesty, truth, fighting for the residents not against them is what I expect from
City Hall. Let any business that want in try to get in, and let our laws, regulations, plans,
committees and City Hall protect us, represent us, not make it easy for them to exploit us.
Public employees, should always be honest and straightforward with the residents. There
should be no games for jacking residents around, understanding and agreeing to it. Some
of the people mentioned believe in that.
If this city was serious about making money, paying for a rec center, keeping schools great
and taxes low, they would develop the gold coast and lakefront, a proven idea. Instead
they play a level 1 version of Sim City and neighborhood busting.
Amy, I do not mind Valerie, Shawn, you, whoever testing my thoughts and comments, it's how I learn.
