Saturday morning, Lakewood Fire Department answered a call for "smoke on the second floor
of this apartment on Madison.

Image
Upon arrival, they found a motor smoking and an exhaust fan not working.

Problem identified and corrected.

Good work!

I would like to take this moment to remind people, as we switch to winter, check your
fireplaces, and chimneys, air filters, and lint filters on dryers. It seem like fall is a great
time for these to cause fire trouble.

Nothing to see, move along...

Around 11:43 am today, Warren Road and Madison Avenue went under police control as two "Seniors"
as in not from LHS tangled as the SUV on the right traveling West on Madison, according to eye
witnesses never bothered to stop at the red light. The senior in the left SUV traveling north on
Warren Road was "startled" as the other senior came crashing through.

Thank God they were both in SUVs!

The senior that ran the red light according to eye witnesses seemed dazed after the accident and
a registered nurse, that saw the accident reported her as being , "woosy."
