Police presence before/after school

Post by Jeff Dreger »

Is it just me or has there been an increased police presence in the hours just before and after school versus last year? I see it around St. Luke/Lincoln for sure and also by Harding although perhaps to a lesser extent. But I also see it more generally just driving around during those hours. Again, just coincidence where/when I happen to be around or have others noticed anything similar? If so, is it all schools? A response to anything specific? I find it reassuring myself since so many folks choose to ignore parking and speed and other traffic signs.

I noticed it around St. James/Grant the first two weeks, but not so much lately (I'm not there after school though, just before) - I thought it was due to the new school locations, to make sure people were following the new traffic patterns, etc.
