More Fitz Fallout: No Statewide Debates

Post by Michael Deneen »

FitzGerald's disastrous ego trip (aka his so-called gubernatorial campaign) has enabled the entire statewide GOP ticket to skip debates this year.

It's a smart decision by the Republicans...these races are in the bag, so they have nothing to gain by participating.

Josh Mandel should send a thank you gift to Fitz....if not for the horrendous top of the ticket, he would have been in trouble this year.

Perhaps they took a page out of the "Lakewood Politics" handbook ;)

FitzGerald could always debate an empty chair. But the chair might win the debate.

This comment is gold.

I can see it now, at St. Cyril's, ahhhhhhh the memories.

Still I find Mike Deneen's comments to be a bit over the top. After all it is hard to blame
a scoundrel for being a scoundrel.

If Ed FitzGerald has sunk the Democrats in Ohio for generations, those in office at Lakewood
City Hall, including elected Democrats fueled it and grease the skids. After all, no one at
City Hall ever asked for his driver's license, or checked his record. No one.
