Ryan,

Did you "Jump the 'LO News Crew' Shark" or what?

I hope Jim takes your LO press pass away.

Matt,

You are correct, that was a pitiful post.

I was actually at a loss of words. I hear tons of residents mention things they would like to see changed or enhanced and yet there were only approx. 20 people that showed up to listen to the mayor talk and answer a few questions...

I didn't see the entire meeting, as I told the group, I accidentally took Detroit rd to the meeting so I was late :) The the half hour I was there he answered approx. 4 questions in as much depth as he could and then talked about some of the successes he was having with the water and sewer department.

He was asked about section 8 housing and he mentioned that there were really only 400 or so units that were section 8 and half of those were elderly. He said the issue is owners and renters that just don't keep their properties up. He said things are progressing on the 10 year sidewalk repair.

He was asked about street repair and he mentioned that the Madison project was a little behind schedule and would be completed next year.

He was asked about speeding on Clifton (by me) and responded that speeding is always a concern for the city. I asked why they didn't have more officers on radar duty and he responded that we have limited resources for that. I asked if numbers had been run to see if we could justify having off duty officers come in for overtime pay and he said he did not know if the numbers would work. I asked that he please look into it. I asked why the officers were telling me they don't pull folks over until 9 mph over the limit and he said I was incorrect, I asked him to please look into it since I have been told that by multiple officers sitting in my driveway doing radar.

I will try to make it to the next meeting on time and take some better notes.

Was it listed on the deck? I didn't remember seeing it or I would have tried to come had I known. This should not be my only source of info but it's the primary one I use when I'm busy.

Paul it is in the calendar, and the article ran twice in the print version and is online. Available off the front page of the site.
