Handley-Boyt Gallery, 1413 Wagar Ave.
While looking at D.B. Wilson's Art Car "The Toaster" that was in front of 1413 Wagar Ave.
A woman from the porch came down and said hello, and asked if I was interested in art,
I mentioned that indeed I am, and a collector. She mentioned her gallery, and I asked where
it was and she said, right here.
I found it odd that a commercial gallery would be on a residential street and then she
explained, that she was offered the same legal options as the businesses and residents
around her. That when McDonald's built their drive through in her backyard, that opened the
door for her to legally open retail in her house. Hmmmmmm, as she is not just an
accomplished artist, and gallery owner but also a lawyer, I took her word for it.
The idea was that her family, her husband is also an artist would live on the right side of
the house and the gallery would be on the left side of the house. So I walked up the steps
and into the gallery. All I can say is spectacular art on the walls. Originals starting at
many thousand dollars and some prints for those looking for good art in the hundreds.

I do not want to give too much away before their opening tonight, so here is a peek.

That is it, just one wall, if you want to see the rest, stop by tonight and check it out.
You know, Lakewood Is Art!
