This evening after a steady hard rain.

There was a short clearing then a clear wall came blowing in fast!

Trees down on Clifton, Algier, Manor Park, all taking out main power lines.

Whew at least it was not a new one!

The Water Mouse was a party waiting to happen.

As the front moved in a capture on my phone.

Large tree down in a backyard about 6 houses south of Clifton. It took out a main power line.

As I started to post this there was report of a wire down in the street in Lauderdale, and we have gusty
winds and more rain coming so BE SAFE!

The Clean Up

Image
I hope the new ones are this strong. The shelter too a direct hit by a killer branch, and by daylight, OK.

Image
City crews working through the night got sidewalks and streets cleared.

Image
Even small trees were affected.

Image
Though in morning light it would seem the tree on Algier was a car into a pole on Algier.

BE SAFE

Trees are also "credible concerns for public safety" ... and should never be allowed near parks where children play.
"So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.
Since we're together we might as well say:
Would you be mine? Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?"
