The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is pleased to return to Lakewood Park on Friday and Saturday, June 20-21 at 7pm to present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM.
Love and magic intermingle when two couples get lost in an enchanted fairy forest on the eve of a royal wedding. At the same time, a group of rustic amateur actors rehearse a play to be performed at the wedding. Fairy mischief abounds as dreams and reality become tangled.
Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, or use the benches at the bandshell.
The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture. We would also like to express our gratitude towards the City of Lakewood Office of Community Relations for their enthusiastic assistance.

Just a little bump as this is coming up next weekend...
We had a little SNAFU with the publicity and some cards got out with the wrong dates that said we were in Lakewood this weekend. If you got one of those and showed up at the park looking for a show, please accept my humblest apologies and accept free tickets to the show on the 20th or 21st.
In fact, free tickets for ALL of you!
Need more convincing? Scene's Christine Howey called it "A Glorious Romp". Click here for the full review.
Hope to see you all there!

Went by the park last night and noticed that the benches are no longer there. If you're coming, please bring your own chairs or blanket.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Due to the threat of rain this evening, we will be holding our performance of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM inside the Masonic Temple at 15300 Detroit Ave (at Andrews Ave). We'll delay the start time of the show to 7:30pm to allow for people to make the trek from the park. Parking is available behind the building.
