IF you cannot manage 2 half courts in a public park, that you left neglected for years, even admittedly failing to keep them safe and clean.
WHAT can the residents expect when you want to take over a very successfully run
recreation department?
IF you post and propagate lies, and misinformation to cover that up.
HOW do we ever trust you again?
The Lakewood Observer was started because we found no facts coming from city hall, only
lies, half truth and spin. 10 years later, the residents and businesses are once again more
truthful, honest, and straight forward.
To find out that City Hall is "controlling the spin" is typical of a City Hall this is what they do,
But a City Hall putting out lies and mistrusts, is usually attributed to City Halls that have
lost their way,
EVERY MESSAGE FROM CITY HALL SHOULD BE ATTRIBUTED TO SOMEONE.
We deserve the right to know. City Hall demands name, address, phone and reason for
wanting to talk to council. The residents deserve the same, and more because you work
for us, collectively. You were voted into office the represent us in the rules and laws of
the City of Lakewood. You were not elected or hired to represent us and our "likes" or
make faceless comments, ESPECIALLY those that are untrue or misleading.
I am asking City Hall to follow the way Tom George and other mayors have done. ALWAYS
attribute anything coming out of City Hall to the person posting it or making it.
And please, refer from "liking" or making "any comment" that truly does not reflect the
residents and businesses in the city of Lakewood collectively. Don't need you liking
churches, or restaurants. We need your governing fair, honestly, transparently and for
not against the residents of Lakewood.
Will you promise to be honest, forthcoming and accountable?
Can we move on, knowing we are getting facts, not spin and hyperbole from City Hall and
our City Hall employees, while on the clock and/or representing Lakewood?
As you all have accounts, I look forward to a positive response, and the ability to move on
and let this thread die.

I'll put the over-under on city hall response at 1, and take the under. Hope I am wrong.

Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...
It has only been four hours, and I am sure every single representative from City Hall
who is already a member has come on and could have posted that City Hall will at least try to be honest, trustworthy, accountable and make sure comments from City Hall are not lies or posted to fool or trick residents.
I mean 4 hours, to make a comment that takes 13 seconds, or
1/1000th the time they have spent lying and spinning to Lakewood residents
through other websites with fake names they basically control.
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...

Re: A Serious Question For City Hall
It would seem that City Hall still has time to post and further mistruths through various
websites in town, but no time to post to the Lakewood Observer, they promise to be honest
and forthcoming in the future.
I suppose the 6,800+ members of the Lakewood Observer project and the 200+ advertisers
are nothing but "a bunch of complainers and crazy people." Or so says some elected officials.
Instead of 6,000 people willing to put their REAL NAMES on their OWN WORDS. I guess City
Hall thinks that is crazy because they can't hide behind faux names and multiple personalities.
