Their criteria for "exciting" is "silly, fun and active." Big deal.

I want my city "safe and clean and with good schools."

But I'm just an old fart.

Won't you be my neighbor?"

I, too, am old and decrepit but I still think this is positive for Lakewood so I'll take it.

Perhaps it would be good publicity if everyone who reads this got together and signed a letter that says,

"We reject this award on the basis of the frivolity of its criteria for judgement. Here in Lakewood, we prefer to be known for the safety and cleanliness of our streets, and the excellence of our schools."

:? Let's see--- do I want to be young, with it and hip (figuratively speaking) or a grumpy old Republican type (not casting aspersions)

Lakewood should put together a campaign to lure Johnny Football to reside in Lakewood. He is afterall exciting, silly, fun and active.
